Sakis is currently working with Fonkoze but is based in the USA. Sakis is working with Fonkoze management to understand the direction of the MFI and how best it can position itself in the coming years. Sakis main responsibility is developing a detailed multi-year business plan.

Fonkoze is Haiti’s alternative bank for the Organized Poor. It is the largest micro-finance institution offering a full range of financial services to the rural-based poor in Haiti. Fonkoze’s mission is to build the economic foundations for democracy in Haiti. Established in 1994, Fonkoze currently has over 90,000 depositors, over 30,000 active borrowers (97% of whom are women), and 26 branch offices spread throughout every department of Haiti.
