Update from the last 2 weeks

The past 2 weeks have been very busy.

Regarding the market study, 6 consultants are currently carrying out the field research in 7 countries and we are about to start the market study in two other countries: Burkina and Cote d’Ivoire. “Managing” their work, solving any faced problem as quick and as simply as possible is a real challenge.

I am also starting to design my final report’s outline and I have just finished to develop the templates consultants will use to enter all the collected data. I am supposed to deliver my report in 40 days, no time to get bored…

I also had the opportunity to experience great events here in the past few days: I attended the wedding of a Ghanaian friend in the Volta Region last week, the presence of a few non local people was quite a big entertainment for the small town where the wedding took place. Finally, I enjoyed celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ghana last Tuesday with a huge crowd in every “hot spot” of Accra: big concert on the beach, fireworks and parade in Independance square, parties in in the lively district of Osu… From what I saw in many foreign newspaper, Accra seemed to be the “place to be” on March 6th: Ghana was the first African country to become independent 50 years ago which made this anniversary so special.
