Andrew has an MBA from the Degroote School of Business at McMaster University. After building and implementing a Social Marketing project in Sierra Leone focused on malaria prevention, Andrew is now working in Kigali, Rwanda with the Women’s Equity to Access Care and Treatment (WE-ACTx) group assisting in developing a business plan for their business cooperative program and assessing the feasibility of enrolling WE-ACTx’s 4000 patients as members of Mutuelle de Santé, Rwanda’s community-based health insurance program.

WE-ACTx is an international community-based initiative that was launched in fall 2003 by front line AIDS physicians, activists and researchers with extensive experience in caring and advocating for HIV-positive women. Its primary goal is to increase women’s and children’s access to HIV testing, care, treatment, support, education and training in resource-limited settings at the grassroots level. WE-ACTx is committed to helping survivors of genocidal rape and sexual violence.
