BCG MBA, Brian in Ecuador with Organic Blooming

Brian has spent the early stages of his career working in different parts of the US and using grad school as an excuse to take four month vacations. He earned a BS and MS in Materials Engineering from Brown University and UC Berkeley, respectively, and most recently an MBA from MIT Sloan where he focused on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy. His work experience includes two years doing research and development for NASA in New Orleans, LA, and nearly four years doing engineering consulting for Exponent Failure Analysis Associates in Los Angeles, CA. Brian has traveled through nearly 40 countries spread across six continents, spending most of his time in developing nations. He will be joining the Boston Consulting Group in October 2008.

Brian will be returning to the continent he fell in love with in 2002 to work at an organic flower farm in Quito, Ecuador, called Organic Blooming. The company is looking to grow their business through e-commerce and is also interested in exploring alternative uses of their unused land.
