Vive le Paris … and Swaziland!

We arrived in Swaziland on July 30th after what seemed like a never-ending journey. With twelve hours to spare in Paris, myself and Dana, one of the other MBAs, decided to venture into the city. We did what you do in Paris: ate crepes and enjoyed a nice glass of wine. From Paris we flew to Jo-bourg on en route to Manzini, Swaziland.

The first thing you will notice if you ever visit Swaziland is how the colors of the surrounding nature is amplified in a way that redefines your understanding of color. The imposing trees tipped with fuchsia colored flowers, and the sprawling green fields of sugar cane and pineapple which infuse the air with a sweet aroma that spins you into near euphoria. You see evidence of this amplification even in the evening when the sky is a canvas of diamonds, and the mountains are illuminated by the various townships and small fires to prepare the sugar cane for transportation.
