RAC is one of the world’s largest non-governmental organizations based in Bangladesh. Established in 1972, BRAC today is present in all 64 districts of Bangladesh, over 65,000 villages and has 4.8 million group members of which 4.3 million are borrowers. In recent years BRAC has extended its development activities to Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Africa.
