This is a passionate and dynamic team composed of MBA students from different backgrounds. Annie is a trained musician who worked for non-profit organizations in the cultural sector. Claudel was born and bred in Europe, grew up in Africa, and now living in Canada.

1. Please describe what the organization/company you work with does, how it is set up and where it is located?

Many of these people are widows and single moms who lost their husbands during the genocide. During the last meeting one of the villagers said “please do not forget us.” It really hit me. He could have meant meant it in a “oh woh is me” kind of way. But I prefer to think he was trying to lay a guilt trip on me so that I will work hard! Damn effective!

The Forest Peoples Project’s long-term goal is improved social, economic and environmental conditions for indigenous and tribal forest peoples. FPP is working towards this goal by helping forest peoples defend their rights, develop sustainable livelihood skills, engage with policy makers and strengthen their organisational capacity.
