Engagement Campaign - MDGs
MBAs Without Borders launched a National Engagement Tour across major business schools in Canada during the Fall of 2008. Tal Dehtiar, Co-Founder and President of MWB, spoke at a range of business schools across the country about the important role of the private sector and business leaders in supporting the Millennium Development Goals. To read more about the Millenium Development Goals visit here.
The MDGs are a set of eight goals that were agreed to by all member-countries of the United Nations in the year 2000. The Goals are designed to focus attention on the most pressing issues faced in developing countries with a deadline of 2015. While progress has been made towards the Goals, forecasts show that without continued action we are likely to fall short of reaching the targets.
